About the Doberman
Pinscher Club of Memphis
The Doberman Pinscher Club of Memphis
is a non-profit organization designed as a chapter club of the Doberman
Pinscher Club of America, which is the only sanctioned Doberman breed club
recognized by the American Kennel Club.
The major objectives
of the club are to:
-
Encourage
and promote the breeding of pure-breed Doberman Pinscher’s only in
such a way as to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to
perfection.
-
To
educate, enlighten and do all in its power to protect and advance the
interests of the breed.
-
To
uphold and abide by the DPCA Code of Ethics, which are the guidelines
we agree to follow when buying, breeding, selling and exhibiting
Doberman Pinscher’s, as set forth by the parent club.
Membership is open to
all persons eighteen years of age and older who are in good standing with
the American Kennel Club and who subscribe to the objectives of the club.
Dues are $15.00 for a single membership, $20.00 for a family
membership per year.
Membership into the club
affords many benefits including highly informative programs pertaining
specifically to the Doberman Pinscher breed, the opportunity to
participate in activities designed for the enhancement and promotion of
the breed, and most important the opportunity of close association on a
fraternal and professional basis with other Doberman fanciers.

Gallant
Hearts Guide Dog Center’s first graduate,
DPCM's own Zoe
Consuelo Johnson got an early Christmas present to help her
wherever she goes — a 2-1/2 year-old black Doberman Pinscher
named Zoe.
It was a merry Friday for Zoe, the Gallant Hearts Guide Dog
Center’s first graduate, given to the DeSoto County woman who
has been losing her sight since age 9. The female Doberman was
donated through The Doberman Pinscher Club of Memphis and has
completed training to become a guide dog that will guide Johnson
in her daily activities.
